WHO estimated in 2017 that with an 18 percent increase in the past decade, currently over 300 million people worldwide are suffering from depression, accounting for 4.3 percent of the world's total population, of which 54 million are in China.
Data show that more and more students in China are suffering from depression. In the past three years, with the spread of the pandemic, the global economy has been undermined. With fewer job opportunities and increasing living cost, numerous people are experiencing great anxiety.
In the modern competitive society, the competition has become fiercer and fiercer as all strive to live a decent and joyful life which is to a large extent symbolized by material abundance.
