The university summer practice is a highly meaningful and valuable experience. During this hot summer vacation, my classmates and I orga‐ nized a variety of social practice activities in Tangqian Town, Yongtai County. The experiences and insights gained from this practice deepened my understanding of rural development. As part of our practice, we conducted field‐ work along a section of the Dazhangxi River af‐ ter visiting the Dam Project, which conserves the river's water to supply fresh water to the distant Fuzhou City Proper and Pingtan County. We also raised awareness about flood control, moving from village to village, putting up relevant post‐ ers, and incorporating local cultural and creative works. Through close contact with local resi‐ dents, we gained a deeper understanding of the local customs. Our fieldwork along the river was one of the key focuses of our activities. As we walked along the riverbank, we observed and inspected the water quality with the goal of identifying po‐ tential pollutants. We also cleaned up plastic waste within our line of sight. Through this pro‐ cess, I came to realize that every piece of trash we picked up was an act of care for the river, and paying attention to water quality is a responsibil‐ ity we owe to the environment. We must persist in protecting our green hills and clear waters through small, daily actions. This was my first time participating in a large-scale team practice. Timely and effective communication, active participation, and mutual understanding during the activities helped pre‐ vent unnecessary conflicts and increased our effi‐ ciency. Throughout the days of living and work‐ ing together, we collaborated to solve problems and shared in the joy of our achievements. This team spirit will become a valuable asset for my future development.
