Has there ever been a moment wherein you are in an urgent need to use a camera to capture a scene? Life is full of fragments, some of which re-cur in our mind. Those recurring fragments are worth capturing in other media, like a written piece or a painting; otherwise, they will fade away into the mist of time. There are some ex-hilarating moments captured on campus through my lens. Here is a particular moment that I managed to document. During a break in military training，diverse talent shows lessened weariness for every-one. The charming vocals, accompanied by a melody, captivated the crowd to hum and clap their hands to the rhythm. The sun blazed bril-liantly overhead, bathing everything in its path in searing heat. Nonetheless, no one seemed to no-tice the heat wave. What a profound experience the music had forged! An image like that merits documentation on camera. After that comes another shot. Darkness reigned supreme, as though the heavens had drawn in its curtains. A tremendous sound erupted from nowhere, disrupting the silence. Sparkles of light appeared against the dark sky. The splendor of fireworks was on display. Thosefreshmen, who were sitting on the playground watching the performance, turned to gaze at the rising stars emanating from the student streets. The sparks soared into the air and then exploded into patterns. This sight had seldom been wit-nessed. The freshmen watched the fleeting show of fireworks with admiration and awe. Fortu-nately, smartphones helped capture this moment of ephemeral beauty. Furthermore, a similar scene had been captured on another camera. These are two shots I want to share. Not-withstanding their triviality, they are worthwhile to document. Life is the accumulation of such in-tangible moments. The frantic pace of life has de-prived its residents of the opportunity to appreci-ate the natural splendor that surrounds them. Slowing down has become a luxury. Yet, we, the residents of modern society, should not neglect but rather appreciate and enjoy to the fullest the beauty life bestows on us. We must recognize beauty when it is due because it only manifests in a fraction of time before vanishing forever. May we all acquire the capacity to cherish the beauty life has to offer, and may happiness abound in each other's hearts forever.
