My Summer Vacation
This summer vacation, I volunteered in a summer English camp in Sichuan. I am sure you guys know that there was a terribleearthquake in Sichuan in 2008. Lots of people lost their homes, and children there could not go to school. So, people from different places decided to gather and help them. Wewent to a small village inMianzhu, Sichuan, which suffered in the earthquake. And we organized a summer English camp in an elementary school there. Weformed two teams. One is full ofChinese teachers and they come from different cities in China. The other team is formed by international volunteers and foreign teachers from all over the world.
In the summer english camp, we taught the children English in the morning, told them some interestingstories, and helped them learn new words. We worked really hard. Although the foreign teacherswere really tired, they never gave up. They wanted to show their LOVE to the children. We did all we can for the children. This photo shows my group, we worked together, it was pretty good.
At the end of the trip, when I was about to leave, we had a farewell party. The kids in the school hugged me and said goodbye. I felt that all I did was meaningful. I helped them, I dedicated my pure love,and I was so proud of myself. J（指导教师： 樊娲）
